Jardin des Vestiges

The "Jardin des Vestiges" (garden of the relics) was created in 1967 on remains of the ancient harbor. Part of the garden also belongs to the "Musée d'histoire de Marseille", where you can immerse yourself deeper into the history of the city. The garden is a nice place to relax just behind the Center Bourse.

Parc Longchamp

On the hill top behind the "Palais Longchamp" there is a park with the same name. In the back of the park is a children's zoo (without animals) with colorful plastic elephants. A metro station is close by.

Archipel du Frioul

The two neighboring islands "Ile Ratonneau" and "Ile Pomegues" were connected by a dam that forms the Port of Frioul. The archipelago is just 4 km away from the "Vieux Port de Marseille". On the barren islands there are many old fortresses.
