Museo Nacional de Antropologia

The "Museo Nacional de Antropologia" is one of the best museums in Central America. You will discover important archaeological finds of the Mayan period and earlier civilizations. Museo Casa de Leon Trotsky

Leon Trotsky was a socialist revolutionary and military commander of the Russian October Revolution. When Stalin "cleaned" the party, Trotsky fled to Mexico City in 1936. Here he was murdered in 1940 by an russian agent. The museum is located in his former residential building.

Estudio Diego Rivera & Frida Kahlo

The studio of Diego Rivera & Frida Kahlo became a museum of the famous artists. You can see photos, letters and pictures in the rooms where the great works of art were created. The studio is an architecturally interesting building by Juan O'Gorman from 1931.

Museo Franz Mayer

The German-Mexican businessman "Franz Mayer" (1882-1975) collected over 9,000 Mexican art objects and bequeathed them to the state. The museum displays these objects in a beautiful historic building from the 16th century.
