Suan Lumphini

The "Lumphini Park" is the Central Park of Bangkok. Joggers make their rounds and children play on the meadows. In the large green area there are several artificial lakes, a library, sports fields and cafes. There are loudspeakers in the park that play the Thai national anthem at 8:00 and 18:00 o'clock. The national anthem sounds all over the country and all people suddenly stop and stand upright until the music stops. Then everything is going on as before. Lumphini Park is a nice place to relax from the heat and hectic of the city.

Chao Phraya

The Chao Phraya River winds through Bangkok from north to south and flows into the Gulf of Thailand a few kilometers behind the city limits. The river flows through the great plain of Thailand and the old capital Ayutthaya. The river and its countless canals can be navigated on ferries and the fast long-tail boats. From the river you can explore Bangkok and many of its sights. The cities landmark Wat Arun is also right on the banks of the muddy river. The Menam Chao Phraya is the lifeline and one of the attractions of Bangkok. Those who were not on the Chao Phraya by boat have not been to Bangkok.

Jim Thompson Garden

A very nice, small garden is located at the Jim Thompson House. Water pools with goldfish and wonderful orchids create a very relaxed mood. The garden consists of tropical plants that form a dense foliage. Tall trees, fountains and pools of water ensure a pleasant climate. The garden is crossed by paths and looks like an orderly jungle.
