The Wellington Cable Car is the main attraction of the city. Hardly any visitor can escape the fantastic view over Wellington. The "Cable Car Museum" is located on top of the mountain and shows the history of the cable car. The Wellington Cable Car was opened in 1902, the museum exhibits historic railway cars and engines.
