Miraflores

On the south bank of the river Guadalquivir, there is a nice park with a great Panorama of Cordoba. Those who want to get away from the medieval cramped city for a moment, can enjoy the lush greenery of the riverbank park.

Rio Guadalquivir

The Guadalquivir is the largest river of Andalusia, it flows through Cordoba and Seville. The Romans gave it the name "Baetis" and the province was name "Hispania Beatica". Guadalquivir is derived from the Arabic name "Wadi al Kabir". The river flows into the Atlantic ocean at Cadiz.

 

Patio de los Naranjos

The former mosque of Cordoba impresses not only by its architectural splendor, the beautiful courtyard Patio de los Naranjos is an oasis of tranquillity. The enclosed area is an oasis, when fruits hang at the orange trees.

Garden of Medina a Zahara

The former residence of the Caliph of Cordoba was a little paradise. Although the palace was abandoned centuries ago, you can still feel the magic of this place. Nothing has changed on the beautiful location overlooking the valley of the Guadalquivir.
