Musee des Beaux-Arts

The "Musee des Beaux-Arts" was founded as early as 1860 and has accumulated many important works of art during its long history. The museum has collections of paintings, photography, sculpture and many other art directions. 

Centre Canadien d’Architecture

The "Canadian Center for Architecture" is a research center with the aim of promoting the public's awareness of architecture. The architecture museum shows exhibitions that encourage reflection on architecture and urban development. 

Musee d'art contemporain de Montreal

The "Musee d'art contemporain de Montreal" was founded in 1965 to build a collection of contemporary art. The museum mainly promotes and collects art from Quebec but works by international artists are also part of the exhibition. 

Chateau Ramezay Museum

The building was erected in 1705 by the governor of Montreal Claude de Ramezay as his residence. Today it is one of the few buildings from the early days of the French colony. There are also beautiful gardens which belong to the historic complex. 

Musee d'archeologie et d'histoire

The "Museum of Archeology and History" shows in its permanent exhibition the history of Montreal. The museum also organizes interesting contemporary exhibitions on topics of history and archeology from all around the world.
