Art Gallery of Ontario

The "Art Gallery of Ontario" got a new glass facade by Frank O. Gehry, but inside it is still one of the best art museums in Canada. From African Art to Contemporary Art everything is represented in the great collection of the Art Gallery.

Royal Ontario Museum

The Natural History and Ethnology Museum recieved an extension by Daniel Libeskind in 2007. Now the "Royal Ontario Museum" has a huge crystal as frontage. Interesting exhibitions enrich the wide range of the Museum.

Bata Shoe Museum

The "Bata Shoe Museum" got it's collection from the famous Czech shoe company of "Bata". The museum was created in 1995 by the Japanese architect Moriyama. In a shoebox like building, shoes from all continents and epochs are displayed.

Sharp Centre for Design

The "Sharp Centre for Design" is part of the "Ontario College of Art and Design". The elevated building was designed  by English architect Will Alsop in 2004. The futuristic "Sharp Centre" has won numerous architectural awards. However, it is not an exhibition hall for art or design, the building itself is a piece of art.
