Stanley Park

The largest urban park in Canada was named after the Colonial Secretary Frederick Stanley, who has donated the famous "Stanley Cup" (Hockey). The peninsula on which the park is situated, was once a large settlement of the Coast Indians (First Nation). In Stanley Park you will find beautiful totem poles.

Vanier Park

The "Vanier Park" is named after a governor-general. The namesake was Georges Philias Vanier from Montreal. The park is home of the Maritime Museum and the Mac Millan Space Center. The Vanier Park is a beautiful park with landart and views on the Vancouver skyline.

Chinese Garden

Dr. Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is a gem of Chinese garden art in Canada. The garden in Suzhou style was built in 1986 after models of Ming Dynasty. A wonderful oasis in the center of Vancouver.

Point Grey

Point Gray is a stretch of coast on the bay off Vancouver. The beach is famous because George Vancouver landed here in 1792. Along the Point Gray Road there are several small parks with access to the beach. "Point Grey" is one of the most beautiful places in Vancouver.

Cost Mountains

Vancouver is situated in the plane of the Fraser River, the snowy peaks of the Cost Mountains rise just north of the city. The ski slopes start only 10 km away from downtown Vancouver. A major attraction of the region is the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver. Those who have no fear of heights can hover above the Capilano River and gaze into the Abyss.
