Muzeum Sztuki

The ms2 is a branch of the Muzeum Sztuki on the site of the Manufaktura. The Muzeum Sztuki is the largest modern art museum in Poland and one of the oldest of its kind in the world. The museum opened in 1931 in Lodz and showed international modern art. Many artists supported the young museum by donating works to the museum. As a result, the "Muzeum Sztuki" has a great collection of cubist, futuristic, constructivist and surrealist artworks by the European avant-garde. The "Muzeum Sztuki" has 2 buildings. The ms1 in the ul. Wieckoskiego with temporary exhibitions, video art and performance art and the ms2 with the famous collection of the 20th and 21st century art.

Muzeum Wlokiennictwa

Lodz was the Manchester of Poland, most textile mills in the country were established here. The Museum of textile industry is located in the "Biala Fabryka" (White Factory) built in 1839.

Muzeum Tradycji Niepodleglosciowych

The factory of Michal Glazer was used as a police prison for intellectuals under the german occupation in 1939. At this place the Nazis locked up and killed political prisoners. Today the building belongs to the memorial of "Radgoszcz".

Muzeum Historii Miasta Lodzi

The Historical Museum of the City of Lodz is located in the former palace of the textile manufacturer "Poznansky". The building of the architect Majewski had French models.
