Parque Jalapão
The approximately 160,000 hectare Parque Estadual do Jalapão offers desert landscapes, waterfalls and tropical jungles. The landscape of the park is one of the most beautiful in the country. The main attractions are the Dunas do Jalapão in the south of the national park.
Location:
The Parque Estadual do Jalapão National Park is located in the Brazilian state of Tocantins. The capital of Palma can be reached by plane from many major Brazilian cities. Palmas is about 620 km north of Brasilia.
Directions:
The Parque Estadual do Jalapao is located approx. 200 km east of Palmas and can be explored by off-road vehicles.
Tour operator:
The park has hardly been developed and there is almost no tourist infrastructure. In Palmas there are several tour operators who offer tours to the national park.
