The War Memorial Museum is dedicated to the memory of the fallen soldiers from the First World War until today. It shows historic aircrafts and all kinds of weapons used at war. But there is also a nice exhibition of Maori art. The War Memorial Museum is located on a hill in the Auckland Domain.

The museum is dedicated to the history of the New Zealand Navy. The museum is located at "Torpedo Bay", which is a Base of the Royal New Zealand Navy since 1941. From the ferry terminal in Devonport it is a 20 minute walk (1.4 km) along the coast to the museum. You have a nice view of the Auckland skyline.
