The history museum of Sydney was built on the remains of the first governor palace of Australia. Exhibits include objects from the founding days of the colony.

National Maritim Museum

The National Maritim Museum is located at Darling Harbour and has many interesting ships on display. A replica of the "Endeavour", is the highlight of the exhibition. "Captain James Cook" explored Australia and New Zealand on that ship.
