The Three Gorges Museum Sanxia Bowuguan in Chongqing shows the great legacy of cultures along the Chang Jiang (Yangtze River). The museum shows important objects from all epochs of China. The famous "Three Gorges" were permanently flooded by the Three Gorges dam. The museum has collected the most important cultural assets from this region and exhibits them in the middle of Chongqing. The Three Gorges Museum is located opposite the Great Hall of the People.
