When is the best time to travel to Japan?


In spring the temperatures are still quite cool. In March the thermometer rarely rises above 10 ° C. From May the temperatures rise significantly. The sun shines an average of 5-6 hours a day. The Hanami Cherry Blossom Festival is one of the most important festivals of the year. It takes place during the cherry blossom season, which begins around the end of March and ends in mid-April.

December is cool but relatively sunny with little rain. January is the coldest month in Japan. February is hardly warmer than January, temperatures can drop to 0 ° C.

The best time to travel to Japan is May and October.
