Beach of Palma

The over 11 km long sandy beach of Palma de Majorca extends from the center of the city to S'Arenal. Here is the notorious Ballermann, where German holidaymakers booze and party. On the opposite side of the bay is Magaluf, the place where British tourist have a drink. Palma Airport is located in the middle of the Bay. Therefore, the hotels on the beach can be reached quickly and the entire coast is densely built up. Since the beach is relatively wide at around 40 m, the space is usually sufficient for the many tourists. The rocky coast begins behind S'Arenal, there are only small bathing bays. The Platja de Palma is the longest and most famous beach in Majorca.

Playa es Trenc

The "Playa es Trenc" is the longest natural beach on Majorca. Behind the sandy beach is a dune landscape covered by high bushes. The approximately 5 km long bay is bounded by the places Sa Rapita and Colonia de Sant Jordi. In the bay there is still a small town called Ses Covetes, with a few restaurants. On the beach itself there are "chiringuitos" (Small shops) where you can buy drinks or rent beach chairs and umbrellas. "Es Trenc" is also known as nudist beach, but there is no obligation to be naked. Behind the dunes are salt fields in which sea salt is extracted. The beach of Es Trenc is a nature reserve, the chiringuitos are to be demolished and the parking is limited to 1,500. In the summer, the parking lots are always crowded. You should also take your trash back with you and shake out the towels well, so that as little sand as possible is removed from the beach. Due to the many tourists, the beach has been significantly reduced, because every tourist takes sand in his shoes and towels away.
