The Colorado History Museum deals with the history of Colorado and its capital Denver. There are also interesting temporary exhibitions on other topics.

One of the best art museums in the western USA was built in 1971 by Gio Ponti. In 2006 the Denver Art Museum received an annex by famous architect Daniel Libeskind. In addition to western art, the museum features works by Native Americans.

Since the "Museum of Nature and Science" was founded in 1900, the museum has continuously been expanded. Today the museum has a large collection of natural science, an IMAX cinema and a planetarium.
