Cerro de la Silla

The 1.288 m (4.293 feet) high saddle mountain "Cerro de la Silla", is the landmark of Monterrey. But there are many other beautiful peaks in the "Sierra Madre Oriental", in the vicinity of Monterrey.

Similar to the "National Mall" in Washington DC, the most important buildings of the city are located on a central axis. The well-kept park area also offers enough space so that you can see the magnificent mountains near by.

Mirador del Obispado

On the "Cerro Obispado" (mountain of the bishop) stands a huge Mexican flag (Bandera). From the hill top you have the most beautiful view of the center of Monterrey and the "Cerro de la Silla" in the background.

Parque Fundidora

The park on the former site of the steelworks offers many different leisure activities. In addition to museums, cafés and art exhibitions, there is a parrot house, a lake with boats and much more to discover.
