Cerro de la Silla

The 1.288 m (4.293 feet) high saddle mountain "Cerro de la Silla", is the landmark of Monterrey. But there are many other beautiful peaks in the "Sierra Madre Oriental", in the vicinity of Monterrey.

Similar to the "National Mall" in Washington DC, the most important buildings of the city are located on a central axis. The well-kept park area also offers enough space so that you can see the magnificent mountains near by.

On the "Cerro Obispado" (mountain of the bishop) stands a huge Mexican flag (Bandera). From the hill top you have the most beautiful view of the center of Monterrey and the "Cerro de la Silla" in the background.
