Nuremberg Trials

The Nuremberg Palace of Justice was the place where the leadership of the Nazi Party, had to take the responsibility for war crimes at an American military court. The "Nuremberg trials" took place between 1945 and 1949.

Albrecht Dürer House

Albrecht Dürer was one of the most famous painters and graphic artists of his time. Dürer lived and worked from 1509 until 1528 in this house. The house was not destroyed in the WW II and is a unique testimony of its time, built in 1420.

German National Museum

The "German National Museum" was founded in 1848 it's aim is to collect cultural treasures of all parts of Germany. The extensive collection begins with Stone Age finds, shows the famous Belhaim Globe, pictures of Albrecht Dürer and outstanding objects of German culture.

Neues Museum Nuremberg

The "New Museum" was founded in 1999 and shows art, design and architecture from 1950 until today. The Neue Museum organizes contemporary exhibitions and has a great collection. The museum building was designed by Berlin architect Volker Staab.

Bahn Museum und Museum für Kommunikation

The oldest Railway Museum in Germany shows important trains and machines from the railway history. In the building you will also find the "Museum of Communication" the former "Postmuseum".

Nuremberg Art Gallery

The Nuremberg Art Gallery "Kunsthalle" was built in 1913 and presents exciting exhibitions of young artists and presents works from design and art from 1960 to the present day. One of the best art galleries in Bavaria.

Museum der Industriekultur

The "Museum of Industrial Culture" shows the industrial history of Nuremberg in an old screw factory. The core of the exhibition are the motorcycles of Zündapp, but there are many more machines and vehicles to discover.

NS Dokumentation center

The Nazi documentation center is on the former grounds of the "Reichsparteitag" in the north wing of the former "Congress Hall" of the Nazi Party. The center built in 2001 deals with the fascination and violence of the Nazi regime under Adolf Hitler.
